Dock Location Signs Now Available
The dock sign project will decrease the overall response time of public safety responders to emergencies on Lake Anna. This will be accomplished by decreasing the 9-1-1 call processing time by making it easier for Dispatchers to obtain accurate emergency locations through the installation of location signs in highly visible waterfront locations throughout Lake Anna. Your purchase and proper installation of a sign WILL have a public safety benefit. Every sign installed in a highly visible place is one more opportunity for a potential emergency caller to provide a clear, accurate location to a 9-1-1 Dispatcher.
Our primary goals are: 1) improve communication, cooperation, and coordination among all first responders on Lake Anna and, 2) improve response time to emergencies on Lake Anna. For more information please visit the Lake Anna Civic Association website or download the application for dock signs.
Tim's at Lake Anna is Now Open
There is a new restaurant that just opened here at the lake and residents are excited. Tim's at Lake Anna is a crabhouse and restaurant which is now open at the Boardwalk on Lake Anna which is situatad off of the south side of the Harris Bridge on Rt. 522. The restaurant features dock side parking for boaters who want to travel to the restaurant via the lake and indoor and outdoor seating. 208 Bridge Half Way Completed
As many of you who live on or around the lake, the 208 bridge that crosses the lake has been under repair for the last year causing heavy delays. Road crews have been working non stop repairing the bridge. Since the start of the project, the bridge has been closed down to one lane to allow for the repairs to take place. Just recently the road crew finished the South Bound lane and has moved the traffic to the newly completed side to start reworking the North Bound lane.
Completion of the project is set for the end of 2012.
