Lake Anna State Park
The Lake Anna State Park opened in 1983 and is located where the old Goodwin Gold Mine used to operate on what used to be known as "Gold Hill". The park has 2,810 acres, over 10 miles of shoreline and 15 miles of hiking trails. Download the Park's Trail Map. The park also has rental cabins, a boat launch, water front picnicking, camping, a swiming area with life guards, a children's play area and much more. Download the Park's Facilities Guide.
Swimming at the park is allowed from Memorial Day through Labor Day and has a per person fee. Swimming is available on a first come first serve basis and based on parking. If/when parking lots become full, the park road shuts down until sufficient parking spots come available.
